The first secret is: Meeting the psychological need of
contribution.
The idea here is that when a human feels like they are giving back, they feel an enormous sense of well being.
This is important because when they feel a sense of well being, it meets their need for purpose!
The second secret is: The psychological need for growth.
The concept to understand here is that that the mind needs to have a sense of growing.
This is due to the fact that when the mind is developing, it has the impression of improving itself. This again hits a sense of purpose within the brain.
The third secret is: The best instructors are the best communicators.
Creating a world class instructor isn't about their technical skill.
This is key because it doesn't matter how good your reverse punch is - if you can't teach it in a way that someone will be able to understand then they will never be able to learn and master it.
Now, I know what you’re thinking.
It completely goes against everything you think an instructor should be like.
Well the tricky thing is that there are not many martial arts schools out there doing the same as I am. Most think to have good instructors that they must be paid and be good at kicking and punching!
